It glides.
Slides like on ice & keeps you warm in the winter.
Up to 10′ wide in two panels.

The numbers.
The highest each rating has reached in the lab, with the report behind it. Your sizes and your glass set the numbers for your building, and we give you those exactly.
Two-panel door. Structural, water and air: Intertek report R8672.01-525-44. Energy: NFRC CPD VST-K-12-00076-00002. Sound: Intertek report S5790. Energy and sound values belong to different glass — pick yours below. Operating force: ASTM E2068, 15 lbf to start, 5 lbf to keep moving, 17.5 lbf at the latches, where the standard allows 35 / 35 / 22.5.

Half a turn
pulls it shut.
Handle up, and the panel rolls free on its wheels. Handle down, half a turn, and a gear that runs round all four sides draws the panel sideways into the frame, onto a gasket that goes the whole way round. It seals the way a casement window seals, on a door that slides. Nothing is lifted, so it starts with 15 pounds of push and keeps moving with 5, where the standard allows 35. The red in the cutaway is the steel core inside every sash and frame.
Rolls free. Then pulls in.

The panel hangs on its wheels in the bottom rail and rolls in front of the fixed light. Nothing drags, nothing lifts.

A gear runs from the handle round all four sides. Its cams catch keepers in the frame and draw the panel sideways onto the gasket. Four locking points, one half turn.
In white, too.
The sliding door comes in the same colors as the windows beside it, and the inside and the outside can differ. The doors on the building below are white inside and black outside.
Half a turn.
That is the whole lesson.
One lever on the inside, silver or white to match the room. Up, the panel is free to slide. Down, half a turn, and four locking points draw it shut. Outside there is a recessed pull, flush with the frame, so nothing catches a coat or a curtain. The door locks from the inside; there is no key.
Four panels.
One wall of glass.
Two four-panel doors meet at the corner of this Brooklyn penthouse and open the whole room onto the terrace. White inside, black outside.

The four-panel door is built from the same frame, sash and steel core as the two-panel door. The ratings on this page were tested on the two-panel door.
