Glazed into
the frame.
A fixed-blade louver built into the window, so the air transfer sits on the same opening and the same frame line as the glass.
It reads as part of the window grid.
From the street it is one more pane in the frame, not a grille in the wall. The finish follows the window. Inside, the PTAC sits behind it. Around the blades, a 1 inch insulated blank-off panel closes the rest of the band, and we cut it to the unit: to the model of the sleeve and the PTAC in it, the airflow that unit needs, and where and how it drains.
This louver is rated for free area and air only. It is designed to work with the PTAC unit behind it, which has its own sleeve and drainage, so the two must be coordinated: unit make and model, sleeve size and position, before the louver is ordered. If the specification says drainable or storm-proof, that is a different louver. Ask before ordering.

PTACs on your project?
Send the plans and the unit cut sheet. We size the louver band to it.
